Called the “Cake Whisperer” by Gourmet magazine, Karen Tack is a cooking teacher and one of the top food stylists in the nation. She has created cupcakes and other desserts for the covers of many of America’s top magazines, including Bon Appétit, Gourmet, Cook’s Illustrated, Real Simple, Martha Stewart Living, Good Housekeeping, Ladies’ Home Journal, Family Circle, Woman’s Day, Every Day with Rachael Ray, Parents, Family Fun, Taste of Home, and many more. Karen lives with her family in Connecticut.


Alan Richardson is the coauthor of The Four Seasons of Italian Cooking and The Breath of a Wok, which won the Best International Cookbook Award and the Jane Grigson Award from the International Association of Culinary Professionals (IACP). His work has appeared in dozens of best-selling cookbooks and leading magazines, including Esquire, GQ, Newsweek, the New York Times Magazine, Food & Wine, Saveur, Washington Post Magazine, and Gourmet. Alan lives with his family in New York.
